Light on the Landscape: Nature Photography in the Canadian Rockies
Join us on the Anchor B ranch for a few days of exploring the natural
beauty of the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Photo enthusiasts
can learn the techniques and tricks of the trade from a professional
nature photographer through participation in photographic field trips,
lectures, and slide shows.
The Ranch itself is located at a convergence of eco-systems and landscapes,
resulting in unlimited opportunities for spectacular photographs. See
the first rays of sun light up the summits of the Rockies. Watch raptors
soar during the spring migration along the Rocky Mountain Front. Watch
coyotes patrolling the grasslands for lunch and relax in the evening
watching an active hawk nest from the saloon patio. Take field trips
into Waterton National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's
first International Peace Park. Here wildlife abounds with the opportunity
of seeing mountain sheep, wolves, and grizzly bears. Or travel farther
a field deeper into the Rockies exploring streams, rivers, canyons, and
mountain scenery.
Regardless of what type of camera equipment or experience you have,
if you love nature and photography you will love this program.
