The Anchor B is in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, just a two-hour drive south of the major city of Calgary, Alberta and its international airport. Guests who arrive in Calgary by air can rent a car and drive to the ranch or arrange to be picked up at the airport and transported to the ranch. The Anchor B is a three-hour drive on major highways from Great Falls or Whitefish, Montana.

Where We Are Located

Once we have confirmed your reservation package we will send you a detailed map of our area along with a description of how to get to us from your point of entry into Canada.

The 3 most popular routes usually start from the airports located in either; Kalispell, Montana; Cranbrook, British Columbia; or Calgary, Alberta. All of these locations provide car rentals and spectacular scenery between them and the Ranch.

 

 

Weather
The western slopes of the Rocky Mountains have some very interesting weather conditions from time to time. Summer months are generally warm and dry with occasional late afternoon thunderstorms and high winds in some locations. Spring and fall bring the possibility of cooler weather and an increased likelihood of rain during May and early June. Be prepared by bringing a variety of outdoor clothing, which can be “layered” as the weather dictates.
