This is “Cowboy Country” in the heart of the last stronghold
of cattle ranching in western Canada. We do things the old-fashioned
way at Anchor B Ranch to keep the “Cowboy Way” alive and well.
Anchor B Ranch is comprised of 3,000 acres of ranch and farm
land divided by the Oldman River in south-western Alberta. It
has unmatched views of the river valley, the rolling Porcupine
Hills to the northeast and the majestic Rocky Mountains to the
west.
Anchor B is a working ranch with a substantial herd of Angus
cattle and a farming operation designed to provide winter food
for them. In addition, the ranch maintains a string of quality
saddle horses to support our guest ranch and for general work
in the various aspects of the ranching operation.
In addition to our main activities we offer bird watching,
photo safaris, canoeing and kayaking adventures, rock climbing,
various adventure-based learning programs including wilderness
survival and skills training. If you don’t see what you’re
looking for, we will custom-design to suit your individual needs. Click
